Nothing washable, they say, Is more
easily spoiled by careless laundering
than a blanket. It should be plunged
into a luther of boiled soap and warm
water, with one laldesfiooufiil o f am
monia allowed to each pall and a half |
of wafer, washed through three luthers
und rinsed thoroughly in warm water.
Put through u wringer and hang out
to dry as quickly as possible. A windy
day is the best for these heavy arti
cles.
Wools and tlauuels must be washed
flrst of all in warm suds, not soaped,
afterw ard rinsed as quickly as possi
ble.
When dry flannels should be shaken
and folded evenly and pressed with a
cool Iron. Bed and body linen should
be arranged carefully and passed
through the mangle. Those that re-1
quire further ironing should be slight
ly dampened, rolled up and placed in
the basket to aw ait their turn.
