I'robably the most pleasant an 1 j enjoyable function of the social j k'.tisoii was the celebration of their Civstal wedding anniversary bv Mr at. 1 Mrs J. I. Jones at their home in this city Saturday eveniLg. A large number of invited guc-sts assembled to join in the celebration and partake of the generous hospi tality of the host and honte-sc, a number of Jugene relatives and friends of the family being number ed amoDg the gue-bts. The parlor decorations, while fciinple, were appropriate and artis- jtic, ivy, ferns and mistletoe predorn j inating. The hostess was assisted I in receiring by ht-r brother-in-law ; and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Cha.-i. Van I Deuburg and the spacious parlors ! of the Jones homo presented a very animated scene as every one seemed , to cat aside all formality and enter ' into the true social spirit of the oc ! casion About nine o'clock the piano P'-nled forth a beautiful wedding march which was admirably exe cuted by Miss Ethel Kvana of Eu gene and the "Bridal party" pre ceded by liev. J. L. Beatty, pastor of the M. E.- Church took up their places before aD improvised altar and solemnly reneved the marriage vows which they had assented to fifteen years previously.
