The concert last F'riday evening,

M. H. Anderson of the Coast
Fork Timber Co. made a quick
trip to Portland last week on busi
ness. Monday Le stated that all
the machinery for the mill would
soon be in operation, as the last
piece, the edger, was shipped Sun
day. The State Bank of New York
with a capital of 100,000 declared
a dividend last week of t)00 per
cent payable in cosh, also a regular
semi-annual dividend of 50 per
cent, and increased its capital to
51,000,000. The great dividend
was declared from tho surplus be
cause it became so unweildy. The
turning back of the Uoo per cent
dividend was sufficient to in itself
increase tho capitalization to the
51,000,000.
