The Nugget has not heard' of one
merchunt who has complained of
the Christmas trade, they all say
that it was larger than they expec
ted and that they are much pleased
over it. Every merchaut says that
his business has increased during
the year, and that prospects look
good for still more busiuess.
Col. JJlair is beginning to move
his furniture into the rejuvenated
and enlarged Stewart hotel build
ing and says that the building will
be ready tor occupancy very soon.
He is going to have everything
fixed up finely, and hopes to do a
good bnsiness. He sub-leases from
John Barker, who has the lease 00

New Years edition is going to be
the finest thinr of the kind ever
done in Eugene.
The Commercial Club will hold
its regular weekly meeting tonight,
as the majority of the members
wanted to lie home Christmas
night. It is understood that the
meeting will be of special inttrest,
as there are 10 be several guests
present. There will he no meeting
on the following Mondav night.
New Years eve, but on the 8th of
January, ti e regular monthly meet
ing will be held.

cation of a first class show, "The
Missouri 5ir" must certainly be a
winner. Wherever tl.e phy has

its praise of the peifoimauce. Here
