A new vvaou road is surveyed
into Jioheroia, and work will be
commenced soon. The road ex
tends from Glenwood, on the county
road, to Shane's Saddle and will
open up a very productive part of
Bohemia. Tlie road is not over S

two and one-third miles long.
SEWS OK I ROl'KliTIKS
The combination mine, situated
on Martin Creek, owned by Sheri
dan and other parties, will be re
opened soon, it is reported. This
property consists of seven claims in
the south part of the district, and
some very rich ore has been taken
out. The ore is base, aud is a
. smelting proposition. The Great
Eastern property or China, Bear and
Sailor's Gulch creeks, consists of
10 claimB, and shows immense
bodies of high-grade smelling ore.
This mine, from its No. 1 group on
China Creek, could easily ship from
20 to 50 tons of ore to the smelter
per day. A wagon road up Martiu
Creek, a distance of three milas,
would put this property on a ship
ping basis, as theie are large ore
reserves
WORK OS TWIN ROCKS
The Twin Rocks property of 11
claimB is situated three miles south
of Bohemia postoffice, is owned by
Illinois and Oregon men. Much
work has been done this spring ind
summer, and good bodies of sul
phide ore exposed. Surface work
and prospecting is in progress now,
as the owners wish to determine the j
number of ledges they have, a"d i
then do deeper work on some of the
best ones. Lewis Hartley is in
charge of the property.

products of the decomposition of
copper pvrite are chiefly ehalcocite
(copper glance), bornite (a rich cop
per sulphide"), malachite and aurite
(carbonates), and sevrral varieties of

The sulphate solutions may seep
downward through the adjoining
wall rocks of the original vein or
deposit and form an euriehed zone
many feet iu width, but upon carry
ing mining operations downward
into the deposit, the enriched super

and eventually only the narrow
original vein is left, which is too
low grade cr too small to lonyir

was no response from the rabbit.
''How much is four times four?"
Still there was no response.
Now I will give you an easy one:
"How much is four times four?"
the rabbit refused to respond.
