Hiuecr Hermann was elected to congress by u majority of about two thousand three lnimlretl over A. 12. Reauies, of Jacksonville. Rcanies has carried four and pos sibly five of the seventeen counties of the district. There was an un usual falling off in the voting throughout the district. When the votes are all in it will show that about 35 tier cent of the voters did not go to the polls at all.
