It is gratifying to know that
since the repairs and extension of
the city water system last summer,
the city is abundantly supplied
with the' purest water ever piped
into a city. In fact the city has
water at the present time to burn,
the only possible defect at the
present time being in tlie size of
mains. It is said that it would
have been much better if the city
had put in larger mains. The de
mand tor water is growing every
day, which' materially increases the"
annual revenue of the citv. The
0. it S. H. railroad has pi
ranged to feed their locomotives
with water from the city. The
Long and Ilinghnm saw mill is try
ing to arrange for water, while
several waier moters are being'
talked of. If the water business of
tin! city is judiciously handled the
revenue will go u long way toward
meeting the municipal debt.
