S. J. Brund who has been work
ing in his long tunnel has just run
into nn old chute six feet wido
which gives a' nice little corner of
gold in the pan all the way across
the ledge and assays from $10 to
$15 per ton. Mr. Brund has al
ways hail great commence in Ins
property and has run a tunnel five
hundred feet at an enormous ex
pense, some of the rock costing $10
to Si 2 per foot to drive, but nt last
