the east. Daily reports are to the
effect that mining properties are
changing hands with a view to
greater development, and that an
era of prosperity seems to be open
ing up for quartz mining in all
sections. The drift of investments
is largely in the direction of de
veloping promising prospects into
mines, and is therefore along
healthy lines tnat promises much
for the mineral industry. There
is a lull in the sale of big mines,
but smaller capitalists propose to
assume their proportion of the risk
in making big mines out of small
ones. A better condition for the
industry could not be prescribed.

A CONVINCING ANSWER.
"I hobbled into Mr. Blackmon's drug
storo one evening," eays Weslo.y Nelson,
of Hamilton, Ga.,"andho asked me to
try Chamberlain's Pain Balm for rheu
matism with which I had suffered for a
longtime. I told him I had no faith in
any medicino as they all failed. He
said : 'Welljif Chamberlain's Pain Balm
does not help vou, you need not pay for
it.' I took a bottle of it homo and used it
according to tho directions and in one
week I was cured, and have not since
been troubled with rheuniatiHiiu" Sold

There is a creamery boom on,
extending to all parts of the north
west. New enterprises in this line
are being started and talked of in
many localities. We might fear
an era of over production in the
not far distant future, did we not
know the vastness of the demand
to be supplied in the home markets,
and in the Alaskan and Oriental
trade, and the prospective rapid in
crease of this demand. And then
it must be remembered that the
railroads, with modern methods in
transportation, place our producers
in reach of the Eastern markets
where we can compete on an equal
footing, or even with advantages
inntr favor, owing to the superior
natural conditions prevailing here.
So there is no danger of over pro
duction, if the highest qualities are
aimed at. Pacific Homestead.
