the following is learned: It seems

Johnston is one of the best posted
prospectors iu this section and the

this trip is certainly worthy of men
tion, and attracting wide attention
in mining circles. Out of a four
pound chunk of quartz which he
incited in a common blacksmith
forge he secured an ounce and a
half of copper. An assay from a
Iouduii house gives a return of ?.is
in gold, silver, copper and lead, as
follows: gold, S144: copper, $88;
silver, fiy and lead$207. The for
mation is very much like the recent
big lead strike iu the Musick, arid
simply adds another mammotk
smelting proposition to the Bohemia
camp. Grizzly group is now under
bond to an English syndicate, and
nctive operations will be carried on
this season. The ledge from which
thin assay was taken is 10 feet from
wall to wall at a depth of 30 feet,
and every loot gained in depth
widens the ledge.

April 18, Rev. W. V.McGee of the
Cumberland Presbyterian church,
officiating. The contracting parties

known paint dealer of this city, and

they just kept a steppin' until thoy got
