Probably one of the most important mining corporation yet
formed for promotion of work in the Bohemia mining district
and one which promises much for that section, is the Musick
Mining Company incorporated in Portland Dec. 19, 1899. The
incorporators are Davia Goodsell. P. T. Ten n in ere Tc w
g Bingham and J. V. Cook. Officers for the ensuing year are
w P. J. Jenr-ings, president; Davia Goodsell, secretary and
g treasurer; Isaac H. Bingham, general manager. The property
owned by the incorporators is a five-sixth interest in the Musick
g group and all of the Jones group of mines, in all some 225 acres.

total of 4047 tons of ore was mined
and milled in thirty working days.
Including every detail of expense,
the mining cost 31.4 cents per ton,
and the milling 20.8 cents per ton.
The value of the ore was 65 cents
per ton, the net profit being 13
cents per ton, or a profit of 25 cents
on the cost of operation.. This so
nearly approaches a realization of
of the hope of the alchemist, on a
slightly, different basis, as to inspire
