Write-up of the Camp Continued
Fom Week to Week.
A Geneal
Above the German lies the famous Anaconda out of which ore
assaying high in the thousands has been struck. This mine is owned
by I hos. Johnson, one of the old time prospectors and miners of the dis
trict; whose home is in Cottage Grove. At present there is a contro
versy pending as to right of title, but notwithstanding, operations are
going steadily on. I he property is considered one of the tbest in the
district.
Just below the Musick on the ridge lies several other mines of leaser
note 111 the matter of development, but giving excellent prospects The

fine work. J hen comes the Golden Slipper group owned by Seattle
men and represented by Mr. Worley who is going after his work in a
business like manner. Below is the Wall Street group owned by Port
land men. There is a vast amount of work done here and some very fine
free gold specimens have been taken from this mine.
James Sears' fine group lies just below the Wall Street on which he
has been continuously working during the entire season and has a fine
showing which bids fair to become a great bullion producer. I ower

mouth of City Creek is the Riverside Gold Mine & Milling Company's
rich property which has been undergoing extensive development with
fiatteiing results.

White Bros. & Co., own another group at Glen wood that bids fair
to rival some of the best in camp. They have a good deep tunnel on
their mine with a good strong vein of ore at a value of $15 per ton, and
many others in this locality to numerous to mention. Down this creek
and at the junction of Martin Creek are som as good mines as can be
found in the district. Foremost is Jenks mines equipped with an
arasta and ample water power for Chicago's electric light system. There
