POLICE LOG
Sheriff ’s Office (LCSO) in
the apprehension of an in-
dividual until LCSO patrol
deputies could arrive in the
area. A traffic stop was con-
ducted on the individual’s
vehicle and the suspect was
taken into custody without
major incident even though
the suspect was uncoopera-
tive and refused to exit the
vehicle. The suspect vehi-
cle was completely block-
ing the northbound lane of
South 6th Street and had to
be towed from the scene by
Taylors Towing to their im-
pound yard for safekeeping.
The suspect ultimately was
lodged into the Lane Coun-
ty Adult Corrections Facili-
ty by LCSO for the charges
of Recklessly Endangering

The mother was arrested
for Child Neglect in the

Resisting Arrest. This inci-
dent was cross reported to
the OHS Hotline. An OHS
case worker responded and
assisted with post-arrest ar-
rangements for care of the
child with the child’s father.
The mother was cited and
released on scene.

1930-2021
Vesta “Jean” Snook, 91, of
Cottage Grove, Oregon passed
away December 15, 2021. Jean
was born October 13, 1930 in
Stigler, Oklahoma to parents
Charles and Dennie (Shoop-
man) Easton. She married Joe
W. Snook August 12, 1949 in
Bakersfi eld, California. Th ey
celebrated their 72nd anniver-
sary. She was a housewife rais-
ing her family. Jean was an art-
ist and mostly worked with oil
painting. She was very active
volunteering in the commu-

by retires today (Dec. 23),
ending more than 38 years
of public service.
Bradsby began his ca-
reer working in the natural
resource field for the US
Forest Service and later for
the Oregon Department of
Forestry utilizing his Forest
Engineering Degree.
In 1987, he made a career
change accepting a job for
the City of Hood River in
their Engineering Depart-
ment utilizing his Civil En-
gineering Degree. In 1999,
he accepted a job offer
from Cottage Grove in the
Public Works Engineering
Department.
As the city engineer,
Bradsby has reviewed most
all the planning and build-
ing applications, prepared
the Public Works Depart-
ment budgets, designed in-
frastructure improvements,
performed
inspections,
oversaw capital improve-
ment projects, answered
daily questions from the
public and city staff, and
many more daily tasks.
Most recently, Bradsby
completed the Safe Routes
to School project, ensuring
Lincoln Middle School stu-
dents could safely walk to
school. It also included up-
grading the Fillmore storm
drainage system, increas-

1951-2021
Gerald “Jerry” Waterhouse
of Cottage Grove passed away
at home December 11, 2021 of
cancer. Jerry was born April 1,
1951 in Pullman, Washington
to parents Walter and Ver-
line (Hull) Waterhouse. Jerry
worked as a shoe salesman and
manager for most of his ca-
reer until he made the change
to maintenance manager. He
married Carol Lynn Wester-
kamp December 11, 1979 in
Vancouver, Washington. Jerry
liked working on cars and do-
ing projects around the house.
He liked to fi sh, tell bad dad
jokes, and lottery scratch its.
He had a cat Collin who fol-
lowed him everywhere and act-
ed and barked like a dog. But
mostly Jerry like spending time
with his family. He is survived
by his wife of 42 years Carol,
daughter Rhonda Waterhouse
of Cottage Grove, OR; son Eric
(Liz) of Lewiston, ID; brother
Sam Waterhouse of Hagerman,
ID; brother Joe Waterhouse
of Monroe, MI; granddaugh-
ters Brittany Barloon, Brea-
na and Brandy Waterhouse;
great-grandchild Eliza Sharp.
Jerry is preceded in death by
his brother Chris Waterhouse.

Shannon M. Dominy passed
away surrounded by family
on Wednesday December 8th,
2021 in Auburn, WA.
Shannon was born June
27th 1968 in Orange County,
CA to Stan and Charlotte Daza.
She graduated from Cottage
Grove High School in 1987.
And attended Lane Communi-
ty College.
She married David Wilter-
mood in April 1989 and had
two Daughters.
She was a homemaker for
many years taking care of the
household and her girls.
She worked several odd
jobs. Including billing for
peace health and receptionist
at Lane.
She married David Dominy
in March 2013 and spent many
happy years with him.
Shannon enjoyed many
things. She loved cooking, bak-
ing, sewing, shopping, video
games and being craft y. She
enjoyed camping and loved the
beach. She was a lover of ani-
mals.
She took pride in helping
others. She loved her family
and friends.
Shannon is survived by
her Husband David Dominy,
Father Stan Daza of Cottage
Grove,OR Daughter Tamara
(Alex) Kimery of Cottage
Grove, OR. Grandkids Madi-
son and Liam Kimery.

Sheila Fleming, 80, went to
live with our Heavenly Father
on November 28, 2021. She
was born November 26, 1941,
in Volga, SD, to Lyle and Velma
Eggebraaten. She enjoyed main-
taining childhood friendships
throughout her life. Moving to
Marysville, CA, she graduated
from Marysville High School in
1959 and attended Yuba College
in Marysville, CA.
Sheila was a pianist, soloist,
and built and played her own
ukulele. She especially liked
Hawaiian music and Hawaiian
dancing, and also participat-
ed in square dancing. Sheila
worked at and later became a
bowling proprietor at Th e Bowl-
ing Green in Cottage Grove,
OR, in the late ‘70s and ‘80s.
She was a talented seamstress
and craft er in general, including
tole painting, knitting, and cake
decorating and home improve-
ment activities. Sheila loved to
play games and be with friends
and family, or just simply stay at
home with her hubby.
Sheila and her husband, Del,
are members of Grace Com-
munity Fellowship and Orelane
Roamers RV Club. Together
they’ve enjoyed their annu-
al trip to Hawaii, Kauai being
Sheila’s favorite island, where
she was privileged to sing with
Hawaiian celebrity Larry Rive-
ra, as well as hula dance during
his performance. Sheila was also
a member of Iron Mango Uku-
lele Orchestra and the Hawaiian
dance group Halau Hula Na Pua
O Hawaii Nei.
She is survived by her hus-
band, Del; son Jon (Kris) John-
son; daughter Janet Wood;
grandchildren Michelle (Mi-
chael) Wareham, Amy (Joe)
Lambert, David Taylor, and
Heather Taylor; great-grand-
children Katri and Soren Ware-
ham; also her sister Linda (Kim)
McDonald; sister-in-law Cheryl
Eggebraaten, as well as numer-
ous nieces and nephews. She
is predeceased by her brother
Gale Eggebraaten as well as her
parents Lyle and Velma Egge-
braaten.
A memorial service to cele-
brate Sheila’s amazing life will
be held at Grace Community
Fellowship January 22, 2022,
at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may
