BMD seeks town logo design submissions League of Oregon Cities
Transforming
the
Slabtown vs Lemati Feud
into a year-round competi-
tion requires blending the
past with the present — and
recreate the 19th Centu-
ry feuding towns of Cot-
tage Grove (Slabtown) and
Lemati.
Any new town needs a
logo. Th e Bohemia Mining
Days Board will invite two
graphic designers to select
four logo designs that meet
the criteria below, which
settlers of the two towns will
vote on. Th e logo with the
highest votes becomes that
town’s offi cial logo.
It will be used on mer-
chandizing to raise money
to produce the annual BMD
celebration and will be used
in the festival’s promotional
materials.

• Make sure your town’s lo-

• Your logo should be artis-

• Defi ne your brand iden-

• Find inspiration for your

• Check out the competi-

• Choose your design style.
• Find the right type of
logo.
• Pay attention to color.
• Pick the right typography.
BMD is struggling fi nan-
cially at this time and seeks
artists who will provide logo
designs pro-bono as a gift
to future generations who
will proudly use it. Th e 61st

Th e potential of having to

protect the health and safe-

means the BMD Board of
Directors needs to creatively
seek new revenue sources to
ensure the future of Cottage
