The Douglas County
Board of Commissioners
are seeking interested per-
sons to serve on the Doug-
las County Planning Com-
mission.
The Planning Com-
mission is a seven-mem-
ber advisory and deci-
sion-making body of
Douglas County. Members
represent differing inter-
ests, geographic areas and
occupations. The term of
appointment is four years.
The recruitment will
give priority to applicants
who can represent the
southern and coastal re-
gions of Douglas County.
The Planning Commis-
sion advises the County on
land use program activi-
ties, serves as the appeal
body for contested land
use decisions and conducts
hearings on discretionary
land use actions.
Citizens interested in
being considered for Plan-
ning Commission mem-
bership should submit an
application to the Douglas
County Board of Com-
missioners or the Planning
Department.

of Commissioners or the
Planning Department.

Robert “Bob” Armor, 91, of
Cottage Grove, Oregon passed
away March 17, 2021 with his
wife Donna by his side. Bob
was born January 25, 1930
in Santa Monica, California
to parents Edgar and Lucille
(Grieve) Armor. He was liv-
ing in Venice, California until
he married Donna and her 2
boys in 1965. Bob graduated
from UCLA with a bachelor’s
in accounting and served in
the United States Air Force
for 4 years. He retired aft er 35
years from Rockwell Interna-
tional which is now Boeing.
Bob and Donna moved to Cot-
tage Grove in 1999 to be close
to their son Pat and his family.
Bob was an amazing dad and
husband. He was a devoted
family man who always put

others ahead of himself. Ev-
ery single person who crossed
paths with Bob was truly rich-
er for it. He loved to play golf
and was an avid fan of UCLA
sports, especially basketball
(sorry Ducks). Bob sang in
church choirs since he was a
teenager. He played the hand
bells at the First Presbyterian
Church. He will be missed! Bob
is preceded in death by son Pat-
rick Hampton, his parents, and
sister Patricia Sprague. He is
survived by his wife of 55 years
Donna; son Kevin (Kimmy)
Hampton and Lynn Hampton;
daughter Linda (Gary) Ray;
niece Kathy Lonskey; grand-
sons; Chris, Kyle and Corey
Hampton, Garrett Ray, and
several great-grandchildren.
We are grateful for the loving

Hospice and the Visiting An-
gels. Th ere will be a graveside
inurnment services March 26,
2021 at 3:00 PM at Fir Grove

On Tuesday March 9, 2021,
A. Bridget Farkas of Raleigh,
NC, beloved wife, mother and
grandmother, passed away
at the age of 87. Bridget was
born in 1934 in Yakima, WA
to Ray and Alice Brady. Aft er
graduating from high school
in Cottage Grove, Oregon, she
moved to Chicago, IL for work
with American Airlines. While
skating at Kirby’s Ice Rink, she
met the love of her life, Daniel
Farkas. Th ey were married in
1959 and raised their two boys,
Brian and Douglas.
Bridget had a love of life,
family and friends, and was
always “game” for an adven-
ture. Whether down the street,
across the state or around the
world, a trip with her was nev-
er boring. Her love of learning
and desire to help people led
to her earning a bachelors in
speech therapy and working
with children. Her career path
changed with moves across the
nation, but a constant theme
was always service and support
of people.
Bridget was preceded in
death by her father, Ray, and
mother, Alice. She is survived
by her husband Daniel, their
two children, and grandchil-
dren. A memorial service will
be held at a later date.

Janet Louise Wilson
November 20th, 1939 – March 16th, 2021
Janet Louise Wilson passed
away on March 16th, 2021 at
the age of 81 from complica-
tions aft er surgery. She was
born November 20th, 1939 in
Riverside, California to Adrian
and Autumn Killion. She grad-
uated from Pacifi c High School
in 1958. She got married at a
young age of 18 to Larry Wil-
son (deceased) on November
1st, 1958. A few short years
later they made a family move
to Cottage Grove, Oregon in
1966. Janet helped work at her
Parents family owned business
(Killion’s Market) for several
years. She also was the accoun-
tant for her husband’s Con-
struction business.
Janet loved hunting and
camping with her family. She
enjoyed going to the Coast,
Casinos and watching sporting

Eric Todd Rounsaville, 48,
of Cottage Grove, passed away
March 9, 2021.
Eric was born in Cottage
Grove on September 23, 1972
to Mack and Karen (Herron)
Rounsaville.
Eric attended Dorena Ele-
mentary, Cottage Grove High
School and Pioneer Pacifi c
College.
On July 15th, 1995 Eric
married Lisa Peterson in Cot-
tage Grove.

daughters Kaiden (Jake) Hen-
drickson of Cottage Grove and
Kinslee (Wyatt) Qualey of Sil-
verton.
Eric was preceded in death

Janet was a great Friend,

Great-Grandma and a mentor
to all she met. She was a loving
Mother to her two Sons, Tod
Wilson and Tim Wilson (de-
ceased) both of Cottage Grove.
She leaves behind 5 Grandchil-
dren and 3 Great-Grandchil-
dren. Janet was known as “GG”
to her Great-Grandkids.
Her Family and Friends
meant everything to her, and
she made everyone feel as they
were important loved and re-
spected. Janet will certainly be
missed by many people who
she touched their lives.

Troy Christopher Th ore-
son passed away peacefully at
home surrounded by the love
of his parents and family on
March 4, 2021. Troy was born
on June 12, 1972, in Cottage
Grove, OR, to Jane Ann (Wat-
son) Th oreson and Stephen
Joel Th oreson. On March 9,
2000, Troy was paralyzed and
became a quadriplegic due to a
serious car accident. Compli-
cations from his paralysis lead
to his early death.
While his paralysis shift ed
his life, it did not change Troy.
He remained the real, honest,
and fun-loving person he had
always been for twenty years.
He loved speed - from ski boats
to motorcycles and scuba div-
ing to NASCAR, and he shared
his enthusiasm for all with his
family.
Troy is a graduate of Marist
Catholic High School and
Chemeketa Community Col-
lege, where he earned his As-
sociates Degree and became a
paramedic/engineer. He volun-
teered for South Lane County
Fire and Rescue and worked
for the City of Albany Fire De-
partment. He also worked with
his dad and brothers in con-
struction.
Troy is survived by his par-
ents, Steve and Jane Th oreson,
Cottage Grove, OR; brother,
Marc Th oreson and wife Bri,
Washoe Valley, NV; brother,
Matthew Th oreson and wife
Lili, Pearland, TX; and neph-
ews, Jacob, Lucas, Zachary,
Th omas, and David. A Funeral
Mass will be held on Saturday,
March 27, 2021, at 11:00AM
at Our Lady of Perpetual Help
Catholic Church, Cottage
Grove, OR, followed by inter-
ment at Fir Grove Cemetery,
Cottage Grove, OR. Memori-
al contributions may be made

Martin Brian Reinbold
1958-2021
Martin Brian Reinbold
passed away March 20th,
2021. Martin was born April
28th, 1958 to Patrick and Alva
Nadine in Eugene OR. Martin
began his career in archaeology
in the early 80’s while attending
OSU where he received a bach-
elors in 1984. He continued his
education and passion for his-
torical archeology throughout
his life, later receiving a mas-
ter’s degree at Th e College of
William & Mary in Williams-
burg, VA. Martin eventually
retired from Pan Cultural As-
sociates in 2013.
Martin loved acting and was
an active member of the thes-
pians in high school, where
he was in multiple plays. He
continued his love for acting
by playing small roles in ma-
jor movies, including our very
own Animal House. Martin
was an avid guitar player with
a passion for folk music. He
had many talents including
photography, building model
planes and ships to name a few.
Martin is survived by 3
siblings; Patrick Reinbold of
Cottage Grove, Susan Watson
of Portland OR and David
Reinbold of Cottage Grove as
well as his 3 children, Arlo of
Colorado Springs, CO; Th om-
as of Damon, TX & Sarah of
Philadelphia, PA along with 6
grandchildren.
