Lane County Sheriffs arrests suspects in Creswell Public Works burglary
On Nov. 21, Lane
County Sheriff ’s Office
deputies assigned to pa-
trol the City of Creswell
received a report of a
burglary at the Creswell
City Public Works build-
ing on Highway 99 in
Creswell.
Suspects entered the
property, broke into a
shop building and stole
a city maintenance ve-
hicle along with several
thousand dollars worth
of tools and equipment.
After releasing infor-
mation to the commu-
nity and other police
agencies, the vehicle was
recovered by the Cottage
Grove Police Depart-

After a thorough inves-
tigation by Creswell dep-
uties, two suspects were
identified in the case.
On Dec. 23, deputies
located the suspects,
identified as 34-year-old
Joshua Allen Wills of
Creswell and 51-year-old
Renae Kay Wills of Cre-
swell, in the Pleasant Hill
area.
After
investigation,
both suspects were ar-
rested on charges related
to the Creswell Public
works Burglary and vehi-
cle theft, as follows:
• Joshua Allen Wills
was arrested for Burglary
in the second degree, Ag-
gravated Theft in the first
degree, Unlawful Use of
a Motor Vehicle, Posses-
sion of a Stolen Vehicle,
two counts of Theft in
the first degree, Crimi-
nal Mischief in the first
degree, and Criminal
Mischief in the second

Eckle James, “Jim” Fulk
1934-2020
Eckle James “Jim” Fulk, 86,
of Creswell, Oregon passed
away peacefully surrounded
by family on Christmas Eve,
December 24, 2020. Jim was
born on May 2nd, 1934 to Eck-
le and LuLu Fulk in Elk Creek
Missouri. Jim attended Cabool
High School, and aft er gradu-
ation Jim followed his brother
Grover to Oregon. Jim married
Edna Broadstreet in 1956 and
they later divorced. Jim mar-
ried Carolyn “Kaye” Vander-
pool June 1977 in Reno, NV.
Aft er a short logging career,
Jim opened Jim’s Tire Service.
Th e community knew Jim as a
businessman who greeted his
customers with a smile and a
handshake. Jim gave his em-
ployees opportunities, includ-
ing Cottage Grove High School
students credits for work expe-
rience. Jim was a hardworking
man with a compassionate
heart. He also had a witty
sense of humor. Jim was always
thinking of others. He spent
countless hours volunteering
at Magnolia Village in Cottage
Grove while regularly visiting
his wife Kaye, he participated
in organized activities with the
residents. Jim enjoyed traveling
and spending time at his cabin
hunting and snowmobiling. He
also, enjoyed collecting antique
cars, and watching Jeopardy
nightly with his loyal dog Bella.
Jim was a member of the Cot-
tage Grove 1st Baptist church.
He is survived by his daugh-
ters Teresa Peters, of Cottage
Grove, OR; Sheri Toney and
husband Wayne of Salem, OR;
Chris Angeli and husband Clay
of Phoenix, AZ; sister Virginia
Harbeintner of Creswell, OR;
9 grandchildren; Seirra, Emily
and John James Peters; Con-
nor (Rachel), Zach (Jessica)
and Maranda Toney; Austin
(Lindy), Kendall (Liz), Carter
McDonald; 11 great grand-
children; 2 nieces Cynthia and
Pamela, and nephew Jeff . Jim is
preceded in death by his wife
Kaye, brother Grover G. Fulk,
and son Lyndell James Fulk.
