Dorothy Frances Woolsey
1932-2020
Jacob “Jake” Jeff rey Ander-
son, born February 13, 2000
in Springfi eld, Oregon, passed
away on December 19, 2020 in
Cottage Grove, Oregon.
He was born to Jeff rey Je-
rome Anderson and Effi e Di-
ann (Kendall) Anderson and
joined his sister, Amanda Lee.
Jake graduated in 2018 from
Cottage Grove High School
and joined the Oregon-Wash-
ington Carpenters in Local 146
Apprenticeship Program. He
was employed by Western Par-
titions (WPI, Inc.). Jake was an
avid sports fan and played foot-
ball, basketball, and baseball
throughout his school years.
Jake loved, loved the out-
doors - everything from hunt-
ing to fi shing and camping. He
loved his family, his longtime
girlfriend Haley Willcox, and
his friends even more. And his
heart was bigger than all out-
doors.
He is preceded in death by
his grandparents Gary Lee and
Carol Sue (Kennedy) Kendall.
He is survived by his parents
Jeff rey and Effi e Anderson,
sister Amanda Anderson;
grandparents Jerome and Lau-
ra Anderson; and his uncle
Gregory Anderson and aunt
Stacy Manning, all of Cottage
Grove; his aunt and uncle, Car-
la and Brian Severe of Eugene;
and his aunt and uncle Martha
and Gary Curl of Prineville. He
is also survived by many cous-
ins who loved him very much:
Devyn, Amber, Draper, Bran-
don, Brittni, Kayla and Trent.

Dorothy Frances Woolsey of
Cottage Grove, Oregon passed
away on December 12, 2020
at the age of 88. Dorothy was
born on August 22, 1932 in the
Bronx, New York to Otto and
Georgiana (Meyer) Eddy. Dor-
othy married Donald A. Wool-
sey on September 18, 1954 in
the Trinity Episcopal Church
of Mt. Vernon, New York.
Th ey were married for 50 years
and together they had fi ve chil-
dren, Georgianna, Deborah,
Barbara, Donald, and Carey.
Dorothy and her family
lived in Southern California
from 1956 until she moved
to Cottage Grove, Oregon in
1979. Dorothy worked as an
assembler of circuit boards for
many years. She enjoyed cook-
ing, doll house miniatures,
quilting, beading and geneal-
ogy. Dorothy was a kind and
generous person and it was
said that “Th e Lord helps those
that help themselves and Doro-
thy helps the rest.”
Dorothy is survived by her
children Georgianna Cham-
bers of Graysville, Pennsyl-
vania, and Barbara (Stephen)
Lawn, Donald Woolsey, and
Carey Woolsey of Cottage
Grove, Oregon. She is also
survived by thirteen grandchil-
dren, eleven great-grandchil-
dren, two great-great grand-
children and numerous nieces
and nephews. She is preceded
in death by her husband Don-
ald A. Woolsey and her daugh-
ter Deborah Lacayo.
Dorothy’s family would like
to express their sincere appre-
ciation to Maureen and Doug
Williams for their loving care
of our mom.
A celebration of life will be
held at Smith-Lund Funeral
Chapel at a later date.
