Lane County 4-H opens enrollment for 2020-21 with October discount
OSU Extension Lane
County 4-H is kicking
off a new year with dis-
counted enrollment for
the month of October.
Lane County 4-H is
a community of young
people learning citizen-
ship, leadership, and life
skills.
The program welcomes
youth 5-19 years old, but
most opportunities start
for youth in 4th grade.
Projects include science,
robotics, gardening, sew-
ing, cooking, healthy liv-
ing, photography, envi-
ronmental stewardship,
dogs, small animals, live-
stock, horses, and more.
Community
service
and youth leadership are
key elements of every
club.
Opportunities for in-
ternational travel, youth
leadership conferences,
summer camps, and field
trips are available to 4-H
members as well.
More information and
enrollment forms can
be found online at www.

viding safe activity in re-
gard to COVID-19.
Trick-or-treaters will
remain in their vehicles.
Vehicles will line up on
South River Road and
then drive through Main

from participating busi-
nesses or organizations.
The treats will be pack-
aged and presented to the
children as they pass by
on Main Street.
Organizers are encour-
aging people to drive
through and not walk
through the event as pe-
destrians will not receive
candy.
Cloth face masks are
highly
recommended,
but not required when
driving through the
event. Participants may
also dress up and send a
picture to the ‘CG Can-
dy Gram’ Facebook page
to participate in the cos-
tume contest.
‘Windowshop’ to see how much health coverage may cost at OregonHealthcare.gov
Oregonians are look-
ing for ways to protect
their household budgets
during the COVID-19
pandemic.
Health care needs are
not always something
people can predict, but
unexpected costs for care
can cripple a budget.
However, a window
shopping tool allows
Oregonians to see how
much they can save on
private health insurance
coverage through the Or-
egon Health Insurance
Marketplace.
Oregonians can get
quality coverage and fi-
nancial savings through
the Marketplace.
The window shopping
tool is now available at
OregonHealthCare.gov/
WindowShop for con-
sumers to preview plan
options and receive esti-
mates to lower costs for
2021 to prepare for open
entollment.
Open enrollment runs
from Nov. 1 through
Dec. 15 and is the only
time of year many people
can buy private health in-
surance.
In 2020, more than 70
percent of Oregonians
who purchased individu-
al health insurance qual-
ified for financial help,
lowering the average
premium to just $142 per
