2B | AUGUST 27, 2020 | COTTAGE GROVE SENTINEL Music Festival to highlight the blues at Village Green Sept. 5 A social distance friendly musical event will be happening Sat- urday, Sept. 5, at the Village Green Hotel and Resort in Cottage Grove. The blues music-fo- cused event will begin at 11 a.m. and continue until 7 p.m. in the garden area of the Village Green. Seven local Northwest bands are lined up, along with 5 to 10 artist ven- dors. With the help of volun- teers and staff, attendees will be provided with a respectful and social-dis- tanced relaxing day of live music entertainment. Tickets can be pre-pur- chased online at www. rainydayblues.org musicians will be put into a secure account to help with the Blues in the Schools program once students return to school. The Village Green will be co-hosting, serving food and beverage onsite at the festival.
