Dozens of people turned out at the intersection of Main and 16th streets in Cottage Grove on Sunday to line up with American flags in a “Patriot Flag Wave”
event organized online. An event organizer encouraged locals to show national strength in the rally billed as “pro-America, pro-police, pro-2nd Amendment
and pro-Trump.” Local Ray Proctor, who attended the event, expressed his appreciation for general community spirit in light of conflicting opinions. “Cottage
Grove is a great community where the residents can honestly agree to disagree,” he said.
