Boy Scout History
he Boy Scouts of America was incorporated February 8, 1910 Under the laws of the District of
Columbia. Thirty-four national representatives of boys’ work agencies met, June 21. They met in a
temporary national headquarters in a YMCA office in New York and developed organization plans.

Legion Spaghetti Feeds. Our Troop has produced 5
Eagle Scouts in the last 2 years.
Activities include:
Hiking, Camping, Cooking, Orienteering, Archery,
First Aid Training, Wilderness Survival Skills,
Leadership Training, Summer Camp at Camp Baker
(Coast) or Camp Melakwa (Cascade Mountains),
and more!

MISSION
The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare
young people to make ethical and moral choices over their
lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath
and Scout Law.
SCOUT OATH
On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and
my country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people
at all times; to keep myself physically strong,
mentally awake, and morally straight.

A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous,
kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.
