Steve worked for Weyerhaeuser for 15 years and he liked to fi sh and hunt. Steve is survived by his wife Vickie Hughes; daughter, Angie Spain; son, Tim Hughes; 11 grandchildren, his 2 brother and his sister. David Howard 1929-2018 David Howard of Creswell Oregon passed away October 12, 2018. David was born September 14, 1929 to Steve and Mildred Howard in Aberdeen, Washington. David married Jan Howard on November 15, 1952 in Cottage Grove, Oregon. David worked as a Timber Faller. David is survived by his wife Jan; daughters, Teresa (Rob) Vaughn of Creswell; Kim (Darren) Painter and Kat Howard of Portland;; Lisa (Ryan) Gaugenmaier of Dorena; sister, Alice Eleanor Coop of Underwoood, WA; brother, Richard Howard of Cottage Grove; twelve grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Hal Dean Lane 1926-2018 Hal Dean Lane, 92 of Creswell, OR Passed away October 18, 2018. He was born July 23, 1926, in Hatfi eld, AK to Finn and Viola (Barron) Lane. Hal graduated from Hatfi eld AK High School. He served two years in the U.S. Army where he received the Asiatic-Pacifi c Campaign Ribbon, the Army Occupation Ribbon and Victory Ribbon and one overseas Service Bar. Hal worked for Georgia Pacifi c for 35 years and retired from there in 1988. He enjoyed hunting, camping, fi shing and he always had a nice garden. Hal loved spending time with his family. He was a member of the Cottage Grove Bible Church. Hal married Pauline Griffi n in 1948, in Waldron, AK, they celebrated their 70 th wedding anniversary May 28, 2018. He is survived by his wife Pauline Lane, Creswell, OR, son Hal Dwayne (Joanne), Oakridge, OR, daughter Paula (Paul) Landsiedel, Creswell, OR, 7 grandchildren and 13 great- grandchildren. Eugene “Gene” C. Cooper 1936-2018 Eugene “Gene” C. Cooper, 82 of Cottage Grove, OR passed away in his sleep September 21, 2018. He was born September 17, 1936, in Dallas, OR to Loren and Maude (Cole) Cooper. Gene was the youngest of 7 children. He married Sharon Pitzer on February 27, 1960 in Dallas, OR. Gene worked for Weyerhaeuser for 26 years as a timber faller. Aft er retirement he drove a dump truck for Pass Creek Paving, was a watchman for Davidson Construction and Whitsell Manufacturing. Gene enjoyed snowmobiling with the Bohemia Sno Sledders of Cottage Grove, camping with friends and family and fi shing the high lakes. Gene is survived by his wife Sharon Cooper, daughter Candy (Mike) Middaugh, daughter Julie Cooper, grandchildren; Jami Cooper, Shane and Cheyenne Middaugh, great-grandchildren; Tanner and Trevor Cooper, all of Cottage Grove, OR. Mark was born in Wiesbaden, Germany to William Wade Kelly and Carolyn G. Makarov. Mark married his wife Tracey on September 12, 1990 in Reno, Nevada. Mark worked in Steel Construction and as a Tow Truck Driver. Mark also served in the Army National Guard. Mark is survived by his wife Tracey A. Stevens; his father C.A. Colby Sannes 1985-2018 Colby Sannes, age 33, was born April 26th, 1985 to Hugh and Bonnie Sannes of Cottage Grove OR. Colby passed away October 3rd, 2018. Colby graduated from Al Kennedy High School in 2003 and pursued a career in the logging industry. He has always enjoyed spending time in the outdoors. His love and kindness was felt by many. He always tried to make everyone he met feel good with his positivity, helpful nature and meaningful hugs. Colby enjoyed fi shing, hunting, riding dirt bikes, watching his children play sports, and spending time with family and friends. Colby was preceded by his grandfather, Thomas Edwards, grandparents, Lyle and Mildred Sannes and father, Hugh Sannes.
