Local students lend a hand to spread the joy
Community Sharing, Cottage Grove High School Key club and jogging club work with additional
volunteers from the community and a host of generous present buyers. The community members trans-
ferred “wish lists” into a massive present handout. This year we helped 147 South Lane families and
341 children received their presents to have a brighter Christmas. Our lovely volunteers from Lane
county have come together to make great holiday memories. In the month of December there were 5
days of organizing, wrapping and sorting presents for the last day. The last day this year was on the 21
of December. On that day, we were really busy running from one car to the other distributing presents
to each family. Our goal with this adventure is for the families to have a joyful Christmas and also for
the children to wake up with a smile on their face on Christmas day.
