A Festivus for the rest of us
The “Seinfeld” episode “The Strike,” which originally aired in 1997, sees Kramer going back to work
after a (12-year) long strike from the bagel shop and Elaine accidentally giving out a fake phone
number on the back of a free sandwich coupon. But what makes this a real classic holiday episode
revolves around George and his father celebrating an alternative holiday called Festivus that they
created together many years ago.
