SUNDAY, DEC. 10 FOX >> A new holiday edition of the animated, Emmy-
winning comedy holds to its tradition of seasonal episodes – but this one also
marks a first for the show by running for a full hour. “Girls” alum Adam Driver,
who’s now a member of the “Star Wars” movie family, is among the guest voices
in a highly musical tale that finds Bob (voice of H. Jon Benjamin) and his family
again marking Christmas in their own unique way.
SUNDAY, DEC. 31 CNN >> It’s the start of another era for the cable news
network’s annual celebration of the beginning of a new year, as CNN staple
Cooper gets a new co-host in his longtime friend Cohen, of Bravo’s “Watch What
Happens Live” (and Fox’s “Love Connection” revival, which will return).
Of course, they’ll be stationed in New York’s Times Square for to observe the
descent of the illuminated globe, with various guests stopping by.
Don’t be a mean one
Since the first airing of “Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas” on CBS in
1966, this adaptation of the Dr. Seuss children’s book has evolved into an annual
holiday viewing tradition. Legendary animator Chuck Jones directed this story about
a green-skinned grouch who sets out to spoil Christmas for the citizens of Whoville.
Boris Karloff provides narration, with additional voices by Thurl Ravenscroft and
June Foray.
