Missing woman located
CGPD , bystanders save man's life
South Lane County Fire and Rescue (SLFR) responded to a car fi re on Gateway Blvd. on Tuesday,
October 3.
According to SLFR Division Chief Joe Raade, Cottage Grove Police and bystanders at the scene
pulled a male passenger from the car, described as a Chevy Tahoe.
"This heroic act undoubtedly saved the life of the occupant, who was later transported to River Bend
Hospital with non-life threatening injuries," a press release read.
According to authorities, the incident began in the drive-thru of Jack in the Box on Gateway on the
morning of October 3. An unidentifi ed 72-year-old man apparently suffered a medical emergency while
behind the wheel, lost control of the vehicle and ran into a power pole and box, damaging the infra-
structure. The vehicle caught fi re and according to SLFR and Cottage Grove Police, authorities on the
scene as well as bystanders pulled the man from the vehicle to safety.
The Douglas County Sheriff's
Offi ce reported that missing 39
year-old Cindy Lynn Warren
of Yoncalla, Oregon has been
found. As of October 5, she was
reported as on her way home
with no further explanation on
her disappearence.
Warren was reported as miss-
ing by members of her fami-
ly on October 4. Warren was
supposed to have met up with
a male named "Mike" from
Springfi eld, Oregon at a park in
Sutherlin on October 3.
Warren's family reported they
last heard from her by text mes-
sage twice on October 3 - once
at 2 p.m. and once at 9 p.m.
Both messages indicated she
was on her way home.
Warren was described as a
white female adult. She is 5'7''
and weighs approximately 170
lbs. She has brown eyes and red/
brown hair. There are no known
signifi cant scars, marks or tat-
toos. She is reported to have no
known medical conditions.
She was associated with a
2003 Silver 4-door Oldsmobile
Alero with Oregon license plate
164GPH.
