End of year news from
Dorena and Latham

Thank you to the
following supporters:
Our 5th graders from Latham, Dorena, and London spent three days at Outdoor School/Camp near
Dorena Lake. They learned about the outdoors: geology, fi re safety, animals, outdoor skills. They also
learned fun camp songs and participated in camp activities. Zip lining and rock wall climbing were
fi rst time adventures for many of the campers. It was a great culminating activity for their school year.
Dorena’s fi nal fund raiser was a great success.
Students tried, but were unsuccessful, in duct
taping Mrs. Pabst to a wall in 30 minutes. They
got revenge on most of the teachers by dropping
them in the dunk tank while family and friends
listened to great music from the Fret Boys. Car-
nival games, a bounce house and the all-import-
ant rock wall made for a fun fi lled night. All the
money raised will go towards next year’s fi ne
arts program at Dorena. Thanks to an amazing
PTC and the staff, we made over $3,500. A huge
thank you goes out to all of the sponsors who
donated items to the silent auction.
