COTTAGE GROVE RECIPIENT
Th e Bohemia Foundation’s purpose has been to re-claim
an abandoned rail yard in downtown Cottage Grove
and turn it into a lush green open space for the entire
community to enjoy. Th is process included clearing the
14.8 acre track, demolition of existing buildings, planning
and design, public outreach, fi ll and shaping of the land,
in-ground infrastructure, construction of the picnic
pavilion, public restrooms, 2000 seat amphitheater, play
ground and installation of numerous park amenities.
While not complete, Bohemia Park has transformed
Cottage Grove. Th e park now hosts a summer concert
series and numerous other festivals and events,
entertaining both locals and visitors.
Please welcome Bohemia Foundation board member, and new Lane County
Commissioner, Gary Williams.
