Cottage Grove resident Marc Waszkiewicz was 19 years old when he landed in
Vietnam. He won a camera in a poker game the fi rst week he was there and during
his three tours in combat, he photographed his daily life. The photos have been com-
piled into a book, now available at the Book Mine. Waszkiewicz will be holding a
book signing this Friday during the Art Walk between 4 and 7 p.m at the Book Mine.
The photos will join a
documentary: "Vietnam
an Inner View" as well
as an album and Wasz-
kiewicz's memoir later
this year. For the full
