Saturday the sprint cars will take their wings off and push these cars to the limit for the fi rst of 3 stops by the Northwest Wingless Tour. Saturday Times: Pit Gate – 2:00 Front Gate – 4:00 Hot Laps – 5:30 Qualifying – 6:00 Racing – 6:30 Pac-12 Continued from B2 of senior distance runner, Edward Cheserek, who won his seventh Pac-12 title by winning the 10K race in 29 minutes, 11.76 seconds. Overall, along with Cheserek’s title on Saturday, the Oregon men took home two individual Pac-12 titles when Damarcus Simpson set the men’s team up strong for Sunday by winning the men’s long jump title. Starting Sunday with the Discus, the Ducks came out swinging. Ryan Hunter-Simms of Oregon, Arizona's Viktor Gar- denkrans and Arizona State's Kyle Long shared an intense battle, but Hunter-Simms prevailed with a throw of 58.71M. “I feel those guys in the discus was a huge surprise for us to get those points, and then King kept it going,” Johnson added. Sunday was made complete for the Ducks men when Kyree King, with a time of 10.09 and Damarcus Simpson, with a time of 10.27 kicked things off for the Ducks men in the 100 meter by fi nishing 1st and 2nd while recording the fastest times ever for themselves. King had another big performance in the 200-meter fi nal, fi nishing fi rst while Marcus Chambers fi nished second. “It feels great. My main goal is to help my team as much as I can,” King said. “With the double, I did that and with my teammate coming in second behind me, we swept both runs, so that was good too.” The Ducks now set their sights to regionals, where they hope to set themselves up for a return to Hayward Field for the NCAA championships in June. “Everyone went out there and competed,” Raevyn Rogers added. “We didn't even think about points. That's what our coaches want- ed. They don't want us to think about the points. They just want us to go out there and compete. I think we went out there and surprised people, because we're showing people what we can do as a team.” City League Second Place Jim’s Tire Factory Richard Thomas, Corbett Stewart, Joe Guches, Brett Madsen, Faye Stewart City League Third Place Gilkison & Dad Andy Mitchell, Greg Mc- Donald, Jim Levings, Derek Verdoorn, Larry Strickland Scratch League Champions Curtis Miller, John Arnold, Andy Adams, Aaron Ames Low Net Larry Emery 60 Larry Strickland 60 John Kallbrier 60 Dave Tooker 63 Bill Avery 64 Jerry Pennington 64 Frank Gates Al Nelson Larry Strickland Scores Middlefi eld Men’s Club Thursday 5/8/17 Game: 3,2,1 Best Ball First Place -21 Larry Emery Gary Rider Jack Doleman Larry Strickland BD Second Place (tie) -18 Jerry Pennington Jerry Singer Dave Tooker Pat Rickard BD Second Place (tie) -18 Bill Avery Second Place (tie) -18 Tim Martin Rudy Nellermoe Loen Hayes Jim Lehl Closest to the Pin #5 Jerry Singer #7 Jake Doleman #14 Gary Rider Fifth Place -16 Tom Arney Gary Sparks Frank LaCosse Gary Ingram Longest Putt #13 Jerry Singer Low Gross Tim Martin 70 Larry Emery 74 Gary Sparks 74 Jerry Singer 75 Gary Rider 76 Middlefi eld Men’s Club Monday 5/11/17 Game: 2M Points First Place 98 Tom Arney Gary Ingram Gary Rider Jake Cox Second Place 94 John Kallbrier Gary Sparks Dylon Rowe Pat Rickard BD Thrid Place 92 Jake Doleman Darrell Lee Pat Rickard Larry Zuvich Fourth Place (tie) 91 Bill Avery David Morris Tim Martin Jim Cunningham BD Deross Kinkade Dave Tooker Jerry Pennington BD Low Gross Gary Sparks 71 Gary Ingram 72 Deross Kinkade 72 Low Net Gary Ingram 60 Larry Zuvich 60 Gary Sparks 61 Bill Avery 61 Larry Emery 61 Closest to the Pin #5 Jake Cox #7 Gary Sparks #14 Deross Kinkade Longest Putt #15 Gary Ingram Fourth Place (tie) 91 Larry Emery 3B BOWLING SCORES COTTAGE MIXERS Date bowled 5/3/17 TEAMS Won Loss Point S Creswell 42 8 Commonwealth Financial 32.5 17.5 Jerry Brown Co 31 19 Funseekers 29 21 MA Meatloaf 29 21 Kelly Trailer Repair 26 24 Swearengin Designs 24 26 Brad's Chevy/GMC 23 27 Covered Bridge Ukule 22 28 The Wright Shop 21.5 28.5 Quintuple Trouble 19 31 The No Shows 1 49 High Game Del Blosch 267 Cody Simons 245 Tiffanie Williams 213 Megan McNary 205 Three High Series 1.
