Murphy snagged another fi rst-
place fi nish in the triple jump
with a distance of 30 feet, 11.5
inches, and Boxberger took
third place with 27 feet, four
inches. Gordon took fourth
place in the long jump (13 feet,
9.25 inches).
Murphy stayed safe last
week, only competing in the
triple jump. Last year, Murphy
competed at the state meet in
the high jump event as a soph-
omore. The results of other
events will be something to pay
attention too as the season goes
on for the junior.
