This past month has been a busy month
for Latham!
On Sept. 29, London and Latham
students enjoyed watching a nationally
recognized live theater show at Latham.
FOODPLAY included juggling,
motivating messages, music, magic,
and audience participation to help the
students learn how to grow up healthy,
happy, active and fi t. The assembly was
funded by our district’s Farm to School
grant.
Classes at Latham had fun learning
on different fi eld trips during the past
month.
Kindergarten and second grades went to
Amber and Ruby’s Farm.
First grade visited the Fire Station.
Third grade went to Mt. Pisgah.
Students in Mrs. England’s fi rst-grade
class at Latham had fun with “Pump-
kin Investigations”. Using pumpkins
donated by Shady Oaks and from the
school garden, they measured circum-
ference, counted seeds, created a graph
and wrote about their pumpkins.
London and Latham students watched a theater per-
formance entitled "FOODPLAY" on Sept. 29.
