Light the path to a cure
Luminarias are an opportunity to honor survivors, and remember those
we’ve lost to cancer. When the luminarias lining the Lincoln Middle
School track are lit at 10pm Friday night, it is a breathtaking sight. Each
candle in each luminary is a light against the darkness. Each is a symbol
of hope that a cure will be found for all cancers.
A $5 donation per luminaria (white bag) or $10 (purple bag) goes to the
American Cancer Society. Luminarias can be purchased throughout the
day on Friday, July 22nd at the Luminaria Tent on site at Relay For Life
during the event.
The Luminaria Ceremony takes place 10pm Friday night at the stage and
includes a beautiful ceremony. If you want to walk, make sure you’re
registered at the registration desk before it closes Friday night.
Relay For Life is the signature fundraiser of the American Cancer Soci-
ety.
