Since 1946, ACS has invest more
than $4.3 billion in cancer research.
ACS is currently funding 787
research grants nationwide, totaling
$4 million. This includes eleven
research grants in Oregon, totaling
$3,848,000 million.
In 2014, ACS fulfi lled more than 1
million requests for information via
the phone, email and online chats.
In 2015, ACS provided services to
465 patients and caregivers in Lane
County. Of those, 282 were newly
diagnosed and 32 were uninsured
or on Medicaid.
82 women were served through
the Look Good…Feel Better
program to help women maintain
their appearance while undergoing
cancer treatment.
279 one way trips were made with
Road to Recovery by volunteer-
operated transportation bringing
patients to and from treatment.
Provided 78 nights of free or
reduced cost lodging to Lane
County patients traveling long
distance to treatment.
