Soccer:
Ages: 4 through 8th grade (4 year olds will do camp only, one
day a week)
Cost: $80; $50 for kids who get free/reduced lunches at school
(must submit proper paperwork to the offi ce); $55 for 4 year old
camp
Practices: two days a week, starting Sept. 12
Games: Saturdays, starting Sept. 24 and going through Nov. 5
Volleyball:

the state meet will have one
last chance to compete. Aug.
5-7 will host the Big Kahuna at
Gold Coast and will be the last
meet of the summer season.

style, where he didn’t qualify
for state but earned another PR
of 1:11.64.

in second, while behind him in
third was Springfi eld’s Shawn
Hand. Brandon Letsom, of
Marcola, got fourth and Jayson
Nelson, from Springfi eld, com-
pleted the top fi ve.

Bryant, of Sutherlin, was passed

for the Veneta driver.
Josh Corley of Westfi r crossed
the wire second while Spring-
fi eld’s K.C. Scott was third.
Marcel Forte, of Junction City,
was fourth and Bernie Bryant
was fi fth.
Cottage Grove Speedway is
in action next Friday and Satur-
day night for the Cottage Grove
Modifi ed Nationals. This will
be one of the biggest races in
the Pacifi c Northwest as far
as IMCA Modifi eds are con-
cerned.
