Route: The parade steps off
at 10 a.m. sharp. The route
begins at Jackson Avenue
and proceeds north on South
10th Street to Main Street. It
turns right and proceeds east
on Main Street past Coiner
Park to Gateway Boulevard.
It then turns right and heads
south on Gateway Boulevard
and ends at East Washington
Avenue.

on South 10th Street. Judging
begins at 8:30 a.m. All entries
must be in place by 9:45 a.m.
(Entries competing for an
award ribbon MUST be in line
by 8:30 a.m. to qualify for
judging.)
when BMD created a Queen's
Court in 1965. Amelia Dunnavin
Blowers was the fi rst one. The
her sucessor in 1966 was Reba
Wolfard, however she was hired
away by an airline company
and couldn't complete her reign.
Caroline Cutts Rippy stepped in
and served as the BMD Queen
for 1966-67. The two women
will be honored on Saturday as
the Grand Marshals of the Grand
Miners Parade at 10 a.m. Later
at 8:15 p.m. on the Main Stage,
the two will share some of their
favorite memories of that era of
the festival.
Be imaginative and design an

organization, or just for fun.
This year the Bohemia Mining
Days board honors two women
who have a special place in
festival history. It was a differ-
ent world back in the mid-1960s
