Every year the Cottage Grove
Prospectors and Golddiggers
hosts the Breakfast on the
Mountain at Bohemia Saddle
Park on Sunday during Bohe-
mia Mining Days. It's just $7
for all-you-can-eat pancakes,
ham and eggs. Anywhere from
500 to 1000 people attend
this event, so get there early.

Dinner – Thursday, July 14, from
6-8 p.m.
Support the Festival and enjoy a
classic miner’s dinner that includes
a 10-oz ribeye grilled to order with a
side of beans deliciously made from a
homemade secret recipe. The scrump-
tious cornbread is donated by the local
Vintage Inn Restaurant. Served next
to the Chuckwagon by the basketball
court in Coiner Park. Cost: $15
BMD Ice Cream Social – Friday,
July 15 from 4-8 p.m.
Since the late 1800s, the local Presby-
terians have been serving up ice cream
for special occasions each summer.

In 1959, they had their annual sum-
mer ice cream social coincide with
the Bohemia Mining Days Festival.
This year’s social features home-
made cakes, brownies and pies and a
choice of ice cream fl avor. The church
is located on the corner of Adams
Avenue and South Third Street. Sug-
gested donation: Adults $3.50, Kids
$2, or non-perishable food, baby food
or diapers for Community Sharing.
Proceeds benefi t youth music program
and Community Sharing. The BMD
Express Train provides free service to
the church between 2-6 p.m.

dinner during the Saturday of the fes-
tival. The menu is half BBQ chicken,
baked beans, coleslaw, buttered roll,
cookie and beverage. Cost: $8 per
plate or $6.50 for chicken only. Pro-
ceeds from this year’s fundraiser will
go to the Trinity Lutheran Scholarship
Fund and CG Christians as Family
Advocates (CAFA). Plan to go early, as
this popular BMD event often sells out
of chicken before the planned 7 p.m.

enue and South Sixth Street. The BMD
Express Train provides free service to
the church between Noon-5:30 p.m.

In the spirit of the brave souls of the
Oregon Trail who were accustomed to
chuck wagon fare, the BMD Board of
Directors invites you enjoy your own
chuck wagon breakfast on Saturday
morning before the 10 a.m. Grand
Miners Parade. The menu is scram-
bled eggs with side of sausage and
biscuits with homemade gravy. Pro-
ceeds from the meal help to support
festival operations. Served next to the
Chuckwagon by the basketball court in
Coiner Park. Cost: $6
