Apply at the shop to volunteer HERE IS WHY ONE OF OUR MAIN MISSIONS IS TO PROMOTE SPAY AND NEUTER • Pet Overpopulation Prevented - Seems never enough homes for all. • Diseases Prevented - Cancers and infections decreased (very expensive to treat). • Helps Community - Prevents dead/ dying animals and spread of disease. • More Humane - Animals feel pain, hunger, heat and cold. SUMMERTIME! WHAT WE ACCOMPLISHED IN 2015 SPAY/NEUTER RESOURCES h e heat of summer is fast approaching. Tips to help keep your pets safe and healthy: • Make sure they have shade and water. Ice cubes in the water bowl, or a towel, ringing wet and put in the freezer for awhile, can help keep them cool. • Do not leave them in a vehicle, even if the windows are rolled down. Animals, and children, die every year from being let inside a vehicle. • Walking dogs on pavement in the heat of the day can burn their pads, and they can get very overheated. • Transferred 188 dogs and cats to appropriate shelters • Used 300 spay/neuter coupons • 139 cats and dogs were assisted through our low-income spay/neuter programs • Put 19,276 miles on the van, transporting animals to shelters, barn cats to new homes, assisting with our sales -- Christmas bazaar, plant sales, name your price sales, and community events.
