Supporting Our
Children and Families
All Parent Partnership’s programs are in collaboration with the
South Lane School District.
First Steps Child Care Center: Established in 1988, it provides child
care during the school year for infants and toddlers of parenting students
and school district personnel.
A Primary Connection Family Resource Center: Established in
1990, APC provides family-focused play time; provides information and
assistance on resources for the prevention of domestic and child abuse
and crisis intervention; provides resource referrals; and promotes early
literacy and English language learning.
The support of our community members is vital.
We would love to have you be part of our mission.
Since 1982, Community Sharing has been meeting the basic needs of
South Lane County community members. Due to budget cuts and in-
creasing numbers of clients, the continued success of this work depends
greatly on the generosity of our community.
In the coming months, Community Sharing kicks off the South Lane Food
Project. The Food Project will simplify the way our generous community
meets the food needs of our neighbors.
The McKinney Vento Program: Provides resources, services and referrals to students
from pre-school through grade 12 who are facing barriers to school reenrollment, at-
tendance and success.
Teen ConnecƟ on: Since 2014, the a er-school program is available to all local teens for
tutoring, resources, food, ac vi es, cra s, paren ng classes, fi nancial aid applica on and
scholarship assistance, service connec ons and referrals, and support.
Family Resource Directory and Recreation Guides: We produce free
booklets listing resources for families in Cottage Grove and Creswell.
The guides are available twice a year list summer and winter activities,
events and resources.
Based on the Ashland Food Project, community members volunteer to
become Donors or Neighborhood Coordinators.
Neighborhood Coordinators help by:
Recruiting friend, family, and neighbors to be Donors
Picking up full donation bags and leave replacements every 2
months
Donors help by:
Filling a provided reusable grocery tote every 2 months
Putting out totes for pickup on the designated day
It’s that simple!
All volunteers for the South Lane Food Project have the full support of
the Community Sharing staff. The staff has software specially designed for
the Ashland Food Project to help coordinate.
