2B COTTAGE GROVE SENTINEL October 21, 2015
Soccer
Sweet Home ranks near the
bottom of the power rankings,
making the blowout not very
surprising, and facing a school
that’s ranked as low as them can
sometimes hurt in the Lions’
own rankings. After moving to
the No. 8 spot in the rankings,
the Lions win against Sweet
Home made them drop out of
the top 10 to No. 12.
But that’s not much of a con-
cern for the Lions right now.
“We just got to take care
of business with each game,”
Stewart explained.
The Lions take on Sisters this
week, and will have to travel to
them to do so.
“It’s not going to be a cake
walk,” Stewart said of playing
against the Outlaws.
Last year, the Lions didn’t
play well at all in their game
against Sisters, but this is an en-
tirely different team.
“This team is a lot more fo-
cused than last year, we’re total-
ly different,” Stewart added. “If
we play our game and do what
we have to do, it will be a great
game.”
A win against Sisters would
put Cottage Grove at the top
of the Sky Em league and they
would skip the play-in round.
However, a loss would have
them tied for fi rst in the league
and they would have to play an
extra game in the play-in round
(after their Thursday night game
at home against Elmira).
