“ Clif " Noyes, a distiller of whiskey of
the fiery brand m anufactured for
negro consumption, persuades Morrow
to run for governor. Upon his elec
tion to the governorship he decides to
sign a prohibition bill which means the
ruin of N oyes’ business. Noyes visits
Morrow. He has found papers proving
that Morrow has negro blood in him.
Morrow, undaunted, makes the prohibi
tion bill a law, and resigns his office
and sacrifices his love to devote his
life to the uplifht of the negro.

artist, who has appeared in mnny of
its most successful serpen offerings,

of Robert B. M antell, who is to make
his photo-dram atic debut in a feature

story of the Franco-Prussian w ar and

bravery of a woman make a very th rill
ing and entertaining offering.
For Thursday the offering is one of

turns from an eztended “ Seeing Amer
ica F irs t” tour of the country which
she is m aking for Pathe.
Polly Pathe began in New Vork last
week when she was received in spcinl
audience by George McAneny, acting
mayor in tne absence of Mayor Mitch
ell. Mr. McAneny gave Polly Pathe a
letter to M ayor Kolph of Han Francisco
and had a kind word to any about
P a th e ’• latest patriotic venture in the
motion picture field.
On her trip, Polly Pathe will be ac
companied by Mrs. Frances Fisher
Byers, who will have charge of the a r
rangem ents, and an ezpert e.nmera man.
It is ezpeeted they will tnke about 150,-
000 feet of film before they return.
The present plan, ns announced by
Pathe, is to release the pictures in week
ly series, beginning about Dec. 15. The
