We have just received a letter from our friend, Joseph Russell, of Parkersburg, who is now at Bay View, Washington. He says that country is all right, but that the Coquille is far ahead of it. Crewe, of Ophir, Curry county, came up on the Areata ar riving here Saturday, from an ex tended trip to Central America, for the most part in Costa Rica. He brought back with him three ant eaters, of different kinds, which are found in that country, and created no little interest among the people here and on the bay. One of them succeeded in getting away from him while he was at Marshfield, hut has since been recaptured. He also had a very beautiful specimen of the parrot, also from the same section. Mr. Crewe is highly pleased with Costa Rica and will return in January. On his future return he expects to bring back a considerable nnmber of ourios from that country.
