Wonderful Sight That Greets Visitors’ Dyes. To be in the metropolis, the seat of a county government, standing majestically in the rich verdure field looking over the placid waters of the Coquille, is a pleasure to the wives and children of our rural ag riculturists. But there is no time like now when every store in the city is in it gala nttireinent, gaily dressed and fully stocked with its holiday attractions. And, holiday shoppers should not fail while here to visit tho store of J. 8. Kanematz. Here you will see one of the most complete and magnificent stocks of holiday goods ever assembled under one roof. You see toys of all de scriptions, from the old Noah’s ark to the most modern mechanical contrivances that human ingenuity can construct. Chinas of all makes, from the plain potteries to the most gorgeous wares—from the heavy old English and Dutch jardinieres to the thin egg-shell cups that make you wonder why they do not crumble under the touch of your finger. Some in a massive design of raised flowers and birds extrava gantly ornamented in gold and sil ver, others in a quiet but more ar tistic design of sceneries rich in songs and poems, and still others in the most intricate design of geo metrical lines and scrolls. Talk about dreamland, of the wonderful empire told in the fairy tale. They are not in it. Visit the cozy corner occupied by dolls in this store. There are dolls and dolls and dolls! Dolls that stand one yard high and dolls that are tiny enough that make you hunt for a pair of spectacles. Dolls that can cry—dolls that can say “ papa” and “ mamma,” and dolls that have not a word to say. Dolls of blonde type and dolls of brunette caste. Dolls that know when to shut their eyes and dolls that keep their eyes open day and night. Dolls dressed in tho luxurious silks and satius, and dolls in the simple negligees waiting for the deft and skillful hand of those who select them. Dolls that------ But what’s the use? No word, no line can fully describe the bewildering scene seen in this store. A visit to Kanematz’s store is a treat to your children. It is like a trip in the fairy land that they may long remember, of the wonderful skill of human arts, of the bewitch ing scene of beauty and grandeur, and above all, of the moral and elevating effect upon their mind.
