V Semi-WeeHly Herold TUESDAY, SEPT. 27 1904. Mormonism Under A Ban. Vienna, Sept. 22.—Count Tinza, the Hungarian Minister of the In terior, lias rendered a decision pro hibiting Mormon propaganda with in Hungary, upon the ground that such a movement is not desirable from the standpoints of both state policy and religon. The immediate occasion of the decision was the expulsion of two Mormon missionaries—Franklin I’ ingree and William W'etsol—who came from Salt Lake to Tesasvar 18 months ago and attempted to or ganize a Mormon community among Hungarians who formerly had resided in Utah. The two missionaries were promptly expelled, whereupon their Hungarian friends appealed to the Minister of the Interior, the result being the present decision. Norway Items. O. C. Sanford, our young and popular real estate man, started for St. Louis on Saturday. He goes by way of Vancouver, Wash., where he will visit his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Sanford, and brother, Curtis, who live at that city. On Sunday evening considerable excitement prevailed in our city over the report that Miss Laura Fox and her sister-in Jaw, Mrs. Claude For, were lost in the woods near town. During the afternoon the young women went up to the city’s reservoir and then on up the pipe line toward its source. When well up in the hills they concluded to return by the North Fork road which comes in by the Coquille creamery but took the wroDg end of the road and about six o ’clock found themselves at Mr. Sbuoks, place over on the Noath Fork, John Shuck hitched up and drove them to town, arriving here late in the evening, much to the relief of their folks. gon, to view, layout and survey the California, Oregon Nevada, and Washing Ooquille, Riverton and Lam pa creek ton Territory.” as extended to ah Publio Land States by act of Aug. 4,1892, Charles county road.
