About 7:45 Thursday night a small blaze occurred at the home of Professor Haley. In lighting a gasolene lamp (the electric lights having gone out) the gaso­ lene spurted out setting some papers on fire. The fire bell clanged forth long and loud bringing the people with lanterns to find the fire. The blaze w as soon extinguished with little or no damage.
