OREGON HIGH SCHOOLS .NUMBER NEARLY, 150. A statement by" tfe ' U.' of O. says that in 1884 there was' but one high school in Oregon, in 1900 there were six but now there are nearly 150, of which , 88 are accredited schools,; by the University ot Oregon. The schools have not only grown in numbers but in efficiency and wide range' of usefulness. The best high Schools cover courses ranging from commercialism; and stenography to sciences" "and " languages, "and have thousands of dollars worth of labor atory equipment. Manual training for boys, domestic science for girls and a practical primary' course in ag riculture fox both have been introduc ed with good! results.'- .
