W. II. Reanile, a pioneer flour, mitl
mam of the Pacific Coa3t, died at
his home in McMlnnvllle, December
11. He wa born May 24, 1832, in I
broath, Scotland, emigrating to the
Umilted States In, 1838 and arriving at
San Francisco via the Isthmus, in
1859 he built 'the Caledonia flouring
m,lll3 In that city, engaging to busl-
icss there until his mills were foumet
In 18C2. He then -brought ma lomy
.0 Oregon; and was for some years a
:nlller at Salom, and subsequently en
iaged in that occupation In various
points in the .Willamette Valley.

July but had recovered sufficiently
