LUCKY IDAHO.
A number of Wallowa county
young people who desire to become
yublic school teachers, will attend
ihe Idaho State Normal at, Lewis
'on the coming year. This Is ne
cessary because Oregon, to her
jhame, has no training school for
teachers.-
. Oregon has no normal because
it the Oregonian newspaper which
rought the schools until an obedl
ant legislature killed them.
. The Lewlston school is reputed to
be a good one, and Idaho people are
pardonably proud of It.
We should have just as good a
school In Eastern Oregon.
Lucky Idaho that has no Oregoni
an newspaper to retard develop
ment and block the path of progress.
With over 350 on the Wallowa
county registration books, a man
who knew every one and his politi
