morrow in Enterprise the ' game of
ball scheduled to be played with Jo
seph on the Enterprise grounds has
been transferred to Joseph, and tne
return game will be played in. this

J. E. Bruce arrived from woriu
Yakima, Wash., last evening to look
over the farm purchased last fall
by Mr. Pur din, who to in partner
ship with Mr. Bruce. Mr. Bruce
will visit lre for a few days when
he will return to North Yakima and
rent his present holdings and then
return to Wallowa county to make

COUNCILMEN ACCEPT!
THEIR NOMINATION.
All the councjlmen nominated at
the mass - meeting last Thursday
night have accepted the action of
caucus, and will run' for the of
flcs. In addition a petition is being
circulated placing Mr. J. W.Blck-
ford also in nomination. This gives
the voter five candidates from which
ta eeleot two city councllmen, all of
the candidates men well known in
the city's affairs.

Nevada, brother of S. D-. Keltner,
the well known local hardware deal
er, arrived In. Enterprise from near
CSoldfleld last week, and while he
has not yet fully determined upon
the matter, yet thinks seriously or
remaining in Enterprsle. Thus the
county seat of Wallowa, without dis
charging too many boquets at her,
appeals to ail visitors. The Enters
prise Press extends a cordial wel
come tq.Mr, Keltner, ajd to all new
comers, Watch Wallowa grow. Is

Ham, the younger son, floating near
the water's edge, and the cap of Lan
drum, the elder, was afterward' found
floating, half submerged, about eight
feet from the shore.
The alarm was . given and the
people responded lmraedla.tely. Will

and after a brief search the body
of William, the younger, was. carried
from the water, and a few minutes
that of Landrum was found. The
physicians did aH in their power to
resuscitate life, but the little, tots
had doubtless- been to the water
two hours, possibly more,
Obituary,
Landrum L. Dllworth was born In
Moline, 111., March 23, 1900. His lit
tle life was full of sickness from, the
first, and he spent one summer in
Grarnd Valley, Colorado. After the
dawn qf hia. eighteenth month he
gre;w stronger, and continued to Im
prove nntll he grew Into the fine lit
tle fellow he was at the time of his
death. For extreme tenderness of
heart and generosity of impulse he
was remarkable.
William W. Dllworth, called by the
pet name of "Buster" by his par.
enits, was born In Moltoe, 111.; Ap
ril 19, 1902. He had Just observed
his eighth birthday anniversary the
Tuesday before his death, In Port-
land." His brief life was one of su
preme contentment and childish hap
piness, thoughtful and reflective for
on of his years, and like hla
brother loved by all who ever knew
them.
Both boys expressed themselves
happily at coming to Enterprise,

main permanently. It la in this
beautiful spot, on the hill both the
ooys expressed delight with, thai
they will be laid to rest.

Funeral services will be held from
the Presbyterian church Sunday
at 10 o'clock a. m, conducted by
Rev. Samuel Harris, assisted by Rev
C. E. Trueblood.
