Enorprlse has been asked to place
a baseball club in a Glass D league
composed of Boise, Baker City, La
Grande and Enterprise. The propo
sition would call for a four games
per week schedule to last about
three months, and would mean a
salaried team and big traveling ex
penses owing to the long Jumps. It
Is not looked upon with favor by
the baseball men here and a nega
tive answer will be returned.
None of the towns mentioned, ex
cept possibly Eolse, is large enough
to support such a team. The plan
roost in favor here is, a Saturday
Sunday semi-pro league to be com
posed of, two or three towns lm this
valley, and the Union county towns
and possibly Baker City. The club
here is ready to join such a league.
